Lauren is a Partner in the family team with experience of all types of private family law work, relating to both complex financial arrangements and children issues.
Lauren is also a mediator and helps clients to work through the practical and legal issues arising from separation and divorce.
Lauren works strategically and creatively with clients to achieve the best possible outcome for them and their families. Lauren gives clear, sensible advice and always aims to resolve matters constructively and efficiently.
Lauren has particular expertise in cases involving:
- International family issues including:
- Child relocation (also known as leave to remove)
- Cross border matrimonial disputes
- Complex financial issues on separation or divorce (particularly those involving company assets)
- All issues concerning the arrangements for children
- Financial arrangements for unmarried, cohabiting couples
- Pre and postnuptial agreements
As a mediator, Lauren is described as a “bright, shining star”. She is calm and compassionate, helping clients to focus on the issues that matter. Lauren’s approach involves collaborative problem-solving, involving other professionals (such as accountants, IFAs, family therapists or solicitors) where appropriate.
Lauren has campaigned for the introduction of no fault divorce and equal civil partnerships and continues to campaign for laws to protect cohabiting couples. She has written extensively including for The Times, The Sunday Telegraph, The Law Society Gazette, The Huffington Post, Private Client Advisor, Family Law Week, and New Law Journal among other publications.
