Our People

Sophie is a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution team. She specialises in trust, estate and court of protection disputes, often acting in high value and complex cases.

Sophie has experience acting in a broad range of matters, including will validity disputes, financial provision claims, breach of trust claims and trustee removal applications. She regularly acts in Court of Protection disputes regarding the appointment of attorneys or deputies, which often involve serious allegations of wrongdoing, and in statutory will proceedings.

Sophie’s wider litigation experience includes high value commercial, civil fraud, insolvency, and professional negligence claims.

Acting for a beneficiary of his father’s estate in relation to a dispute regarding the beneficial ownership of the matrimonial home in an intestacy
Acting for an executor of an estate in relation to a removal claim
Acting for the trustees of a family trust in relation to a trust dispute and a trustee removal application
Acting for a client bringing a claim on behalf of the estate in her capacity as executrix to challenge a lifetime transfer on the grounds of lack of capacity and/or undue influence
Acting in a wide variety of complex court of protection disputes
Advising a company in relation to a potential professional negligence claim in relation to a construction project
