Our People

Irène is an Associate in the Regulatory team. She advises firms and regulated professionals on regulatory compliance, investigations and disciplinary proceedings.

Prior to commencing her training contract at Kingsley Napley, Irène volunteered with the charity Amicus on death penalty cases in the United States, initially as a caseworker and then on a three-month placement at a public defender’s office in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Irène currently volunteers with Amicus and the Zacchaeus 2000 Trust charity, acting for clients appealing disability benefit decisions.

Legal Services Regulation

Irène advises law firms, solicitors and barristers on compliance with their regulatory obligations. She has experience across a broad range of matters, from anti‑money laundering compliance to serious misconduct matters, including those involving dishonesty, integrity issues, and sexual misconduct.

Healthcare

Irène represents a range of regulated health professionals across the sector in relation to fitness to practise proceedings and interim order hearings. She has particular experience working on investigations with a criminal element.

Advising an international law firm on the production of documents following a section 44(b) notice.
Advising a barrister on allegations of a lack of integrity and securing an administrative warning.
Advising a barrister on allegations of sexual misconduct.

Healthcare

Advising a doctor on an interim order following criminal allegations.
Advising a doctor on allegations of sexual misconduct.
Advising a doctor on a voluntary erasure application following the postponement of their fitness to practise hearing due to serious ill health.
Advising a therapist on a complaint made to the UK Council for Psychotherapy.
