About Greg
Greg is a highly regarded and experienced lawyer and advocate with over 25 years experience. He returns to criminal litigation after a stint as a senior advocate in our regulatory team, dealing with misconduct cases across a wide range of professions, particularly in health care. His expertise in both fields will be invaluable in defending professionals facing allegations that have both criminal and regulatory consequences.
His Crime work has previously focussed on defending individuals accused of homicide, violence, robbery, drug offences, alleged sex offences, harassment and those charged with offences arising from public protest. He has vast experience of defending high profile suspects detained at the police station, and at Court at every level from the Magistrates Court to the Court of Appeal. His client list includes those in the public eye, particularly sport, media and politics, and he is celebrated for his discrete approach and pro-active case management.
He is a former President of the London Criminal courts Solicitors Association. Having acted for both the prosecution and defence throughout his career, Greg understands the impact regulatory proceedings have on the individual and the wider public. Whilst always seeking the best outcome for the client, he is also known for being a thoughtful and fair advocate. Greg regularly speaks at legal events, has contributed to or been quoted by newspapers and journals, and has contributed as a legal commentator on both radio and TV programmes.
Greg was a Partner at his previous firm, before becoming a full time advocate and then joining KN.
Outside of the adversarial arena, Greg is co-founder of the Jack Leslie Campaign, and his interests include music and sports, notably his lifelong support of Plymouth Argyle FC! He is also a trustee for mentoring charity “Bridging the Gap”
