Settlement of £1,525,000 for 46 year old woman for a delayed diagnosis of Cauda Equina syndrome

Kingsley Napley's Clinical Negligence team achieved an out of court settlement, for £1,525,000, in a claim for delayed diagnosis.The claimant, a 46 year old woman, suffered injuries following a delay in diagnosing and treating cauda equina syndrome on March 31 and April 1, 2003.  She suffered impaired schincter control, right-foot drop and her bowel and bladder functions were affected and, when later undergoing medical procedures, she contracted MRSA.
