Ultimately it's impossible to know how an impending holiday will impact a juror's decision-making on a defendant's fate – whether they'd err on the side of caution or throw caution to the winds – due to the UK's prohibition on talking to jurors after a case is complete".

You can have good hypothesis either way, can't you? In the absence of any sort of evidence, the sensible decision… is to remove that kind of pressure so you don't have to worry about the impact that might have".
