Serious Fraud Office slow to get back to work after lockdown – Stephen Parkinson quoted in the Financial Times

Stephen Parkinson, Senior Partner in our Criminal Litigation team has been quoted in The Financial Times giving his thoughts on the second anniversary of the appointment of Lisa Osofsky, the Director of the Serious Fraud Office amid criticism mounting over a drop in the number of investigations begun by the SFO.
 

I have some sympathy for Lisa Osofsky. The standout moments of her tenure so far have been…acquittals and the decisions to abandon investigations…begun by [her predecessor] David Green."
