Government gets to work on 40 bills

Prime Minister Keir Starmer's first King's Speech introduced 40 bills focusing on legal and social reforms, including improving arbitration, addressing court delays, and modernizing asylum and immigration systems. Key initiatives aim to enhance infrastructure planning, enforce a living wage, and ban exploitative employment practices while reinforcing London's status as an international arbitration hub.
