Corporate criminal liability review could yield “radical and seismic” changes – Louise Hodges quoted in GIR

Louise Hodges, Head of our Criminal Litigation team has been quoted in GIR following the UK Government recently announcing it had finished a three year process of potentially reforming corporate criminal liability law and has now appointed the Law Commission to conduct further review.

Louise quoted;

With the commission's review, the UK may finally see the beginning of significant changes to its corporate criminal liability regime."

The Law Commission now has an opportunity to reflect on recent legislative changes to identify what has worked, focus on what needs to change, and what impact this will have on corporates, including small and medium enterprises as well as global companies."

The recommendations have the potential to be radical and seismic."
