Going the Distance with the Spinal Injuries Association

On Sunday 17th September 2017, members of the Kingley Napley medical negligence team participated in this years’ edition of the Going the Distance walk organised by the Spinal Injuries Association (SIA).

There were two possible routes; a four mile and an eight mile route. Both routes were wheelchair accessible and many of the participants have direct experience of spinal cord injury.  The walk was brilliantly organised and a great opportunity to raise awareness of spinal cord injuries. Throughout our walk, a number of members of the public spotted our bright blue t-shirts and approached us to enquire about the SIA and spinal cord injuries.

The SIA is a leading national charity that provides lifelong support for  everyone affected by a spinal cord injury. The SIA’s vision is that all spinal cord injured people should receive the specialist treatment, care, rehabilitation and support they need to be fully integrated and empowered participants in society. The SIA advises, educates and campaigns on behalf of all those affected by spinal cord injury.  You can see more about their great work on their website here.
