
About Daniel
Daniel is a Partner at Kingsley Napley and leads the Restructuring & Insolvency practice. He was shortlisted for Insolvency Lawyer of the Year at the 2023 IPA Awards.
He was admitted in 1996 and joined Sprecher Grier (subsequently Sprecher Grier Halberstam) a year later, having acquired substantial experience of insolvency law with a well-known London firm. He became the firm’s youngest ever partner in 1999, at the age of 28, and became an equity partner at the age of 30.
Daniel specialises in restructuring & insolvency, undertaking advisory, non-contentious and contentious restructuring insolvency assignments. He acts for insolvency practitioners, distressed investors, accountants, IFAs, boards of directors, and creditors. Daniel has considerable experience of both corporate and individual insolvency.
Daniel is recognised as a Rank 1 National ‘leader in insolvency’, in Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession. Clients appreciate the quality of legal advice Daniel renders, his prompt proactive service, his strong commercial sense, and consider him a highly assertive solicitor. His global knowledge of insolvency allows him to give clients the most proactive and realistic advice.
Daniel lectures widely on insolvency law, and has spoken at several INSOL International conferences Daniel became an INSOL committee member in 2007, sits as a CTO for an INSOL International committee, and is a member of Jordans Publishing Advisory Board on Insolvency.
He is fluent in Spanish and French, and has a Masters in French Law (University of Bordeaux – France).
