About Edward
Edward has practised exclusively in the field of criminal law for over 15 years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his role. He has acted for clients accused of the most serious offences such as murder, manslaughter and rape and always approaches all his cases in a calm, methodical and meticulous manner in order to achieve the best possible outcome for his clients.
Edward’s practice predominantly focuses on the sensitive “pre-charge” stage of criminal litigation, a stage that can often make or break a criminal case. Edward’s approach at this stage is always to ensure that every possible avenue is explored to prevent the case progressing to charge. He has had notable successes with this approach, in particular in complex allegations of historic sexual offences.
Edward also is also an expert in litigating criminal cases at all levels of the criminal courts. He has particular expertise in the field of serious crime, including allegations involving offences of a sexual nature. His approach to these cases is never to simply be reactive to the prosecution case, but always to proactively advance a positive defence case supported by the best-quality evidence available.
