About Sameena
Sameena is a solicitor in the Private Client Department and had been with the team since 2015.
Sameena has a Court of Protection focus, supporting property and financial affairs deputies. She works closely with clients who lack capacity, with a particular specialism of cerebral palsy and severe brain injury cases. She prepares statutory will and gift applications to the Court, and creates personal injury trusts. She also advises on lasting powers of attorney and probate matters.
Sameena creates and registers charities in England and Wales for those who wish to achieve their philanthropic aims via their own charity. She talks clients through the registration process, identifies their principal aims, and works those objectives into a bespoke charitable trust deed. She attends to all aspects of the application to the Charity Commission for registration with specific supporting evidence.
Her clients include high net worth individuals, entrepreneurs and people who lack capacity. She often advises clients in difficult and emotional times and they value her professional and sensitive approach.
Sameena has been elected to the committee of the Court of Protection Practitioners Association (COPPA), London branch. Additionally, she is an active member of the firm’s Diversity and Inclusion and LGBTQ & Allies networks.
In 2016, Sameena was nominated as a finalist for the Black Solicitors’ Network Rising Star award at the UK Legal Diversity Awards. This took into account her commitment to achieving sexual orientation and gender identity equality in legal services and her involvement in promoting pro bono work.
