Louise Hodges & Caroline Day contribute to The Practitioner’s Guide to Global Investigations 2021 Fifth Edition

Louise Hodges and Caroline Day have co-authored the chapter on witness interviews (UK perspective) in GIR's recently released fifth edition of the Practitioners Guide to Global Investigations 2021.

The chapter explores the issues surrounding witness interviews in the United Kingdom, and identifies particular complexities that can arise in investigations when multiple jurisdictions are involved.

About the authors

Louise Hodges is head of the Criminal Litigation team and leads Kingsley Napley LLP’s cross practice financial services team and internal investigations team. She has particular experience in advising corporates on issues of corporate crime, bribery and corruption and fraud offences including advice in relation to internal investigations.  Louise advises both individuals and companies caught up in FCA enforcement investigations and proceedings.

Caroline Day is a Partner in our Criminal Litigation team. Caroline specialises in complex fraud and financial crime. She acts in cases of serious fraud, money laundering, corruption and cartels and has advised individuals and companies subject of investigations and prosecutions by various agencies including the Serious Fraud Office (SFO), the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) and the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) (formerly the OFT).
