World Health Organisation (WHO) World Patient Safety Day

Tomorrow is the World Health Organisation (WHO) World Patient Safety Day.  The WHO is calling for urgent action to reduce patient harm in health care.

The Medical Negligence and Personal Injury team at Kingsley Napley are proud to be hosting an AvMA event to mark this day with guest speaker The Rt Hon Jeremy Hunt MP.

The World Health Organisation, amongst many other activities, produces helpful patient safety information.

Today, in anticipation of patient safety day tomorrow we share with you a document the Medication Without Harm team have produced called  “5 Moments for Medical Safety”. This can be used by patients and  caregivers to greatly reduce the risk of harm associated with the use of medication.

The aim of this tool is to engage and empower patients to be involved in their own care.  We hope that you find it useful.

Terrence Donovan is the head of the Medical Negligence & Personal Injury team at Kingsley Napley LLP.  If you have been affected by any of the issues discussed in this blog, you can contact him at tdonovan@kingsleynapley.co.uk.  Alternatively, you can contact us on: 020 7814 1200 or email us at enquiries@kingsleynapley.co.uk
